The Influence of Cloud-Based Management Information Systems on Remote Work Efficiency

The rapid shift towards remote work, driven by technological advancements and global disruptions, has highlighted the critical role of cloud-based Management Information Systems (MIS) in supporting organizational efficiency. This study examines the transformative potential of cloud-based MIS in enhancing remote work productivity, streamlining communication, and enabling data-driven decision-making. Through a systematic review of 50 peer-reviewed studies, the research identifies the key benefits of these systems, including real-time data accessibility, seamless collaboration, and advanced analytics for informed decision-making. However, challenges such as data security, privacy concerns, and infrastructure disparities persist. Emerging technologies, such as blockchain and augmented reality, offer promising solutions but require further integration and research. The study underscores the importance of organizational adaptability and strategic investments in technology and training to maximize the benefits of cloud-based MIS. This research provides actionable insights for practitioners, policymakers, and scholars, contributing to the ongoing discourse on the future of remote work.
